DoughnutOvO is a postgraduate student in Serious Games and Digital Narration (University of Skövde), and get to know this industry at the beginning of 2021. She grew up in a gaming family and in a society where "games are the opium of the mind". She wants to do some academic research on games and create some “funny and less serious” serious games.
She has always been interested in technology and she studied data science in her undergraduate study. She loved the processing of data analysis, sorting and extracting the messy data to find some interesting relations. Maybe that is why she is a big fan of puzzle games. Unable to live peacefully with mathematics, she chose to part ways with data science after failing to reconcile with algorithms again and again.
She enjoys reading and loves history and culture. The study of the digitisation of cultural heritage is a research topic she has always aspired to. Her minor programme in bachelor study was related to tourism and cultural heritage. Reading gives her the pleasure of "experiencing different lives". She is mildly dyslexic, but this won’t stop her from writing visual novels.
She tries to be a person who is not defined. As a python programmer before, she tried to learn different game engines and, of course, she can also do data analysis. Sometimes she draws something on an iPad that she thinks is 2D art. She has translated an indie game into Chinese. She has experimented with game narration, UI design, and gameplay design in her own game development experience ...... She feels good about her multiple skills but she is not confident. She doesn’t know which of them would allow her to fit into a particular position. At this moment, she feels like an undefined person.

She loves playing games and wished to be a sniper in any shooting game. After many times when she got lost with her controllers/mouse, she was surprised to find herself in 3D sick. Since that, when people invite her to play some 3A games, she can be very cool and say "Sorry, I'm 3D sick." (not because she's not good at it).
She likes puzzle games and MMOs (on mobile) and can’t resist any cute games. She has no patience to play a game for a long time and usually uninstalls a game into a year...... except Brawls Stars.
